Happily Ever After

Cinderella
At her fairy tale ball
Is the happiest girl
Far above them all.
Her smile's the brightest
Shown through big pearly teeth
With a look in her eyes
That tells real beauty's beneath.
Her glimmering gown
And gold diamond ring
Don't compare to this chance
To dance and to sing.
Her Prince Charming's there
In this magical abyss
Proving true love
Does really exist.
The clock strikes midnight
The evening is done
But from there she'll keep memories
Of the romance she's won.
Back to reality
So harsh and so bitter
Little does she know
The Prince is clutching her slipper.
Long days to turn nights
Fate plays its part
She learns nothing can undermine
The love in her heart.
The Prince comes to rescue
Her body and soul
And live the happy ending
That is now in their control.
There's a little bit of Cinderella
Every girl has within
When she sings in the shower
And goodness glows through her skin.
So when times seem rough
Turn those tears into laughter
Because if we believe
We will all get our happily ever after.
